New Cars with Best Quality in Indonesia

Jakarta - On the whole, in the year 2009 is the quality of new vehicles in Indonesia increased. Suzuki and Toyota recorded the highest ranking in terms of quality of new cars in their respective segments.

Assessment was based on reports Indonesia Initial Quality Study released JD Power,
as stated on his official website on Tuesday (8/12/2009).

The study examined the quality of new vehicles for two to six months of ownership, which measures more than 200 points over the same new vehicle.

Among them, driving experience, features, controls, audio, navigation, seats, HVAC, interior, and engine and transmission, all these points are summarized and reported in PP100. Well, the lower point, the car was more qualified.

The overall quality of Indonesia's average of 122 PP100 in 2009, an increase of 17 PP100 from 2008. Because of the 8 categories of vehicles are inspected, 6 points has increased its quality problems.

Almost one-third or 31 percent of all quality problems reported by customers in Indonesia related to the vehicle engine or transmission. In three consecutive years, difficulty passing gear is the most common problems reported by customers.

Then, as many as 44 percent of consumers who do not have a problem in the vehicle, the vehicle will recommend to their friends, which eventually will believe it and buy a product.

"Achieving high quality can help producers earn the trust of their customers, which is the key to increasing market acceptance," said senior manager of JD Power Asia Pacific, Singapore, Rajeev Nair.

The study also found that 69 percent of customers report asking friends and relatives to provide information while before deciding which car to buy.

Keep the cars what the quality of the highest new car? Suzuki SX4 cars recorded the highest ranking in the premium compact car segment, followed by the Toyota Yaris and Honda Jazz.

While the MPV segment entry, Suzuki APV highest ranking, followed by Daihatsu
Luxio and Toyota Avanza.

While Toyota Rush highest ranking in the low-SUV segment for 3 years in a row, followed by Isuzu Panther and Daihatsu Terios.

While the premium SUV, the Toyota Fortuner is ranked highest, followed by Nissan X-Trail and Honda CR-V.

The 2009 Indonesia Initial Quality Study is based on responses from 2034 new vehicle owners who purchased their vehicles between October 2008 and July 2009 and evaluated 33 passenger cars in the nine brands of vehicles in Indonesia.
