Is the Can-Am Spyder Roadster a motorcycle or a car? Either way you want to look at it, this is one sexy beast. This three wheeled vehicle is a hybrid between a motorcycle and a sports car, with two wheels on the front and one in the back. With a stunning design and even better performance, the Spyder has a Vehicle Stability System (VSS) with anti-lock brakes, traction control and stability control systems, and is described by BRP as the next dimension in open road riding and a paradigm shift.
The Can-Am Spyder is powered by a Rotax 990cc V-Twin liquid-cooled engine with five-speed manual transmission. The Y-shaped chassis gives the Spyder the stability of a car, thanks to dynamic power steering and a center steel beam. BRP plans to start selling the Can-Am Spyder in selected states in America and Canada by the fall of 2007, and in rest of the U.S., France and Spain by 2008. Other countries should expect to see this beast in three to four years. The Spyder will come with two colours options, silver and yellow, and should cost US$ $14,999
