Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 50 Years Edition


DETROIT - In commemoration of 50 years of success since its appearance in 1959 before, now General Motors (GM) Chevrolet Corvette Stingray presents birthday edition.

As quoted from Motorauthority, Monday (2/11/2009), the idea to build the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept edition 50th birthday is for the design combines the past in a more futuristic.

"By giving my creative team the freedom to design a concept car, instead encouraging them to see this project from different perspectives," said Vice President of GM Global Design, Ed Welburn.

Although there was no intention of GM to produce the two-door sports car, but some very interesting features if one day the car will be mass produced.

For example the use of door models scissors, ergonomic seat design, the use of the rear camera which has adopted the technology, night vision, until the engine supported electric battery power.

In addition, indicator panels in the cabin also had to use an interactive touch screen that allows operation by the driver and passengers.

Welburn company also hopes the United States (U.S.) This will start production later car.
